Total Solar Eclipse of 2008 August 1st
 in China

Following recent events in China, my "Eclipse-City" associates and I have decided to relocate one of our chinese eclipse viewing sites. While still getting the most promising weather prospects along the eclipse track and keeping a good duration (totality for 1 min 58 sec) we will still provide the same level of services.
At this new location many international travellers will join us to observe the "China Olympics" 2008 August 1st total solar eclipse. You will be watching the eclipse with Chinese officials, broadcasting channels and international scientists studying the Sun altogether. A live webcast of the eclipse will be done by a team of Exploratorium and NASA heliophysics experts. Thanks to satellite technology, you can watch it from home on your computer screen.

You can use this solar eclipse calculator to compute the local circumstances of the eclipse, and the solar eclipse timer notifies the beginning of the various events. A time exposure calculator is there to help you choose your camera settings.
