Total Lunar Eclipse of 2019 January 21
 from Chile, Argentina,
the USA or Canary Islands (Spain)

The Atacama desert in Chile will be the best location to observe this total lunar eclipse. Other locations with generally clear skies are to be found in Argentina, the US Southwest and the Canary Islands in Spain. Barely six months before the July 2nd total solar eclipse one hour before sunset my destination will likely be once again Chile or else southern California as I will return again to Chile in November for the Mercury transit.
With my Lunar Eclipse Maestro software, you can know much more about each lunar eclipses and control your digital cameras to automate the photography part in order to fully enjoy the eclipse visually.

The next total lunar eclipse will occur on 2021 May 26th and my preferred viewing site will likely be in the US Southwest.
