Setup Problems with Fuji X-T3

Postby grb » Fri Mar 22, 2024 5:59 pm

Currently running Mac Mojave, SEM 1.9.0. I can successfully shutter release and the single camera exposure with the correct settings.
In simulating the script (the default script SEM sets up), I don't get anything saved. The dimmed camera display brightens when SEM triggers a photo, but no shutter.
Connection mode is set to "USB tether shooting auto".

Looking at the log, a couple of interesting things pop up:

Mar 22 09:52:06 Solar Eclipse Maestro[3985] <Notice>: Acquisition mode on camera #1 not set to S (Invalid Property Value); current value: 4

How do I set acquisition mode to "S"?

When the script tries to take a photo:

The acquisition mode again, but 0 spaces left in image buffer.

Any pointers would be appreciated.
I have attached the full log of simulating C2.

Re: Setup Problems with Fuji X-T3

Postby grb » Sat Mar 23, 2024 10:58 pm

I've done more testing... I hoped to get SETEXP followed by RELEASE in the script if I can't get TAKEPIC working.
Tried the simplest script possible, just press shutter release button 4 times:

RELEASE,MAX,+,00:02.1,X-T3, , , , , , , ,Press shutter release button
RELEASE,MAX,+,00:03.1,X-T3, , , , , , , ,Press shutter release button
RELEASE,MAX,+,00:04.1,X-T3, , , , , , , ,Press shutter release button
RELEASE,MAX,+,00:05.1,X-T3, , , , , , , ,Press shutter release button

I get an error,
Mar 23 14:51:36 Solar Eclipse Maestro[3985] <Notice>: Error 'error 0x5F2120' while executing a 'M' exposure mode '0x0004' release on camera #1 (line #2)
For each RELEASE command.
SINGLE EXPOSURE WITH SETTINGS under the CAMERA menu item works great:
Mar 23 14:52:31 Solar Eclipse Maestro[3985] <Info>: Single exposure with settings for camera #1
Mar 23 14:52:31 Solar Eclipse Maestro[3985] <Info>: Test ISO camera #1 set to: 200

Mar 23 14:52:31 Solar Eclipse Maestro[3985] <Info>: Test image quality camera #1 set to: RAW
Mar 23 14:52:31 Solar Eclipse Maestro[3985] <Info>: Acquisition mode on camera #1 is 0x0004
Mar 23 14:52:32 Solar Eclipse Maestro[3985] <Info>: Camera #1: image/video added [1/1], 31 space(s) left in image buffer
Mar 23 14:52:32 Solar Eclipse Maestro[3985] <Info>: Camera #1: 31 space(s) left in image buffer (object handles cleared: 1)
Mar 23 14:52:32 Solar Eclipse Maestro[3985] <Info>: SIML +0.0s ISO 200 1/640 s f/8.0 RAW X-T3 Test exposure

Apparently the script uses different commands than the single exposure settings under the camera menu...
