Sony A7RIV won't connect

Hi,

My Sony a 7RIV is not detected by SEM on my MacBook running Mojave. I have configured the camera as recommended in the digital camera configuration help files. I have also made sure that the camera is not connected to Photos ( "Open Photos for this device" box is not checked). I can see the camera under devices in Photos however. The camera screen shows "-PC-" setting. My old Nikon D 90 connects and is functional.
The firmware on the camera is up to date (ver. 1.20).

Any suggestions?

I was just able to connect my Sony a7 iii for the first time to SEM. I used the USB Micro cable and under Settings > USB Connection, I chose "PC Remote." Only then did it appear in SEM. Hope this helps!

Hello absorbingphotons, is this Settings > USB Connection on the camera, or is this in SEM or in apple operating system?
