Nikon Z7II switching from RAW to FINE

I’m trying to save images in a raw format but every time I attach SEM, it switches to fine. Any fix for this?

I ham having this same issue with my Z6ii. Would love a fix!

The current beta version fixes this and the coming ones will fix this across the latest camera models.

Anyone find a solution to this issue? I have same issue trying to use a Z9. Also the shutter speed does not correspond to the script - set 1/4000 get 1/5000 in camera for instance. Running 1.9.0v1 under Mojave.

Will there be any updates before April 8, 2024 eclipse? Are there any beta versions available?

Having the same issue, plus will not write script for C2 - C3.
I did update to the latests Z7ii firmware, running Mojave on a refurbished MacBook Pro from OWC.

Xavier, if you want me to help send error codes and such I'm happy to try and help.

I'm thinking of using a second camera for wide angle, and I think I might "Downgrade" to a D850. The thought of a D850 ever being a downgrade cracks me up.

As mentioned in another post to this B&B, Xavier participated on a presentation to the Kalamazoo Astronomical Society about his software. In the Q & A he was asked about the Z7ii switching from RAW to FINE problem. He mentioned that the problem had been fixed in a test version of the code but did not say how we could download this new version of the code. He also said there would be an update to the code before the eclipse. Fingers crossed.

Hoping the Z8 is added to the list of cameras.

It looks as though the v1.9.2 beta shared at viewtopic.php?f=13&t=335#p991 resolves this issue for my Z8. I'm able to capture in RAW.

In Preferences I have "Ignore image quality settings in script" enabled. It may work disabled, however I have not verified the behaviour.
