Hi Xavier,

I used SEM v1.8.6v2 for the eclipse last August.

Since August, I purchased a new MacBook Pro. I recently decided a start using SEM again for some upcoming ISS solar transits. My new laptop is operating Sierra and is up to date with the OS. See attachment for more details.

I downloaded the .dmg file for SEM v1.8.6v2 (SolarEclipseMaestro186v2IntelY.dmg). I executed the "Install Solar Eclipse Maestro.mpkg" script and I worked through the Gatekeeper process for unidentified developers. The installation process finished normally with a successful prompt at the end. However, the SEM app does not appear in my Applications folder. In my documents folder, the folder "Scripts Solar Eclipse Maestro" does appear with the text files. I rebooted my laptop and repeated the installation process with the same results. Still no SEM app in the Applications folder.

I'm probably doing something wrong. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Steve

That’s weird! If you search for "Solar Eclipse Maestro" using Spotlight does it find anything?

Otherwise launch the Console app and have a look at the /var/log/ folder and then select install.log and finally search for "solar eclipse maestro". If there are install errors they should be listed there. See the attached screenshot.

That was it. The .app file was located in a document folder (I thought I had used the default prompts for the file location during installation).

I moved the .app file into the Applications folder and it is working fine now.

Thanks!
