SolarEclipseMaestro186v1UB installation pb [Case Solved]

Postby chredit » Sun Aug 13, 2017 4:56 pm

I'm trying to install SolarEclipseMaestro186v1UB on an iBook running 10.4.11.

I get an error message stating "You need to run MacOS X 10.4.9 or newer to proceed with the installation". I'm running 10.4.11.

BTW, AWESOME work on this application, the website(s) and the Google Earth plug-in. THANK YOU!

Please download this updated installer.

Thanks! It installed, but it fails to launch. No error message, just nothing.

I don't want this issue to interrupt your travel plans for 21 August. If it's not a simple fix, let me know in a reply and I'll find an alternate solution.

I tested it on an PPC laptop running 10.4.11 and it worked.
Do check in the Console app the System log, look for a crash or anything else, etc.

I don't see anything I can fix because you don't provide any error message and my test on a similar configuration show it works.

Yes processor is too old, I think the minimum is a G4 and you have a G3. Sorry, there is nothing I can do at this point. If you're on a budget you should be able to find a cheap second-hand laptop.

It's really nice to see this level of commitment and support for Mac software. It makes me nostalgic for the '90s.

Merci beaucoup!
