Solar Eclipse Maestro 1.8.0 for MacOS X released

Solar Eclipse Maestro 1.8.0 is now available for download.

This release fixes all the reported bugs since the previous version and many more; under the hood improvements were made as well.

Users of all the previous releases are strongly encouraged to upgrade to this version as it fixes a lot of bugs.
You will be able to enjoy new or improved features and bug fixes as well as eclipses even more without worrying about operating your digital cameras. Support for previous versions is terminated as of this day. Browse the ReadMe file to know more.
Please report soonest any problem you may encounter.

Here is a short list of the latest improvements and bugfixes:
- Improved Lion compatibility
- Adjusted the ∆T value for ASE 2012 and TSE 2012
- Added a leap second starting 2012 July 1st
- Fixed an issue where the Moon’s polar axis wasn’t always displayed and/or misplaced
- Under certain circumstances the Moon’s surface was improperly drawn
- Modified the apparent horizon management to make it more usable
- Fixed an issue with the Live View on some Nikon cameras (D3s, D7000, D90, D5100, D3100, D5000)
- Ability to record a movie directly on the memory card on supported Nikon Cameras
- Fix for a bug where the date and time was only synchronized on the first camera
- Support for the Nikon D4 & D800/D800E
- Added support for USB or Ethernet SBIG CCD cameras and their filter wheels
- Preliminary support for the Nikon D3200
- Fix for multiple potential crashing bugs
- Ability to visualize a close-up animation of Baily’s beads
- Implementation of a new atmospheric rendering
- Added a gridded set of points generator to create very high resolution maps (for Michael Zeiler)
- Updated the timezone service
- Improved E-Flight module used to plan and execute flights to intercept the umbral shadow cone
- Minor user interface tweaks
- Miscellaneous bug fixes and enhancements
