Mercury or Venus Transit Visibility List Window
  2. You can input the location and select the type of transits to take into account before starting the lookup. The running time is always well below one second for the whole 94 Mercury and 81 Venus transits set.
    The following information are displayed:
    • Transit date using the YYYY/MM/DD format
    • Transit type: M for Mercury and V for Venus. A star is appended when the local maximum transit is under the horizon.
    • ΔT: deltaT value used in computations (in seconds)
    • Central duration: available only for central transits that are entirely visible
    • General duration: available only for transits that are entirely visible (starting after sunrise and finishing before sunset)
    • Apparent minimum separation
    • Constellation name where the maximum transit is occurring
  3. With the contextual menu available on the list, you can save the data in a text file where columns are separated by a tabulation character.
