Automatic Camera Detection

To configure the automatic camera detection, from Tiger to Sierra, you’ll have to start the Image Capture application. From Yosemite to Sierra, please start the Photos application.

  1. Start the Image Capture application located in your Applications folder.
  2. Then, if you are running Tiger or Leopard, select Preferences… in the Image Capture menu. For Snow Leopard to Sierra move forward to step 3.

  3. Under Snow Leopard, Lion, Mountain Lion, Mavericks, Yosemite, El Capitan or Sierra, the camera connection deactivation setting isn’t global anymore, but rather per camera. This is why you must deactivate the connection for each camera you are thinking of using with Lunar Eclipse Maestro.

  4. Make sure that No application is selected following a camera connection.
If you don’t, applications might get launched automatically when you connect a camera and this will block Lunar Eclipse Maestro from being able to control the camera.
